What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver skips to Southend-on-Sea, Chalkwell, Westcliff-on-Sea, Great Wakering, Shoeburyness, Thorpe Bay, Leigh-on-Sea, Rochford, Hockley, Hawkwell, Ashingdon, Barling, Hadleigh, Benfleet, Thundersley, Rayleigh, Canvey Island and other surrounding areas. Please contact us if you are unsure if we deliver to your area.
What can I put in the skip?
General waste and rubbish including the following:
- Household clearance
- Household renovations and refurbishments
- Garage clear-outs
- Garden waste
- Plasterboard (as long as it is separated, bagged and placed on the top of the skip, whilst still keeping to a level load)
Prohibited items:
- Paints and Solvents
- Liquids and Oils
- Asbestos
- Tube and Strip light-bulbs
- Food Waste
- Animal and Pet Waste
- Gas Bottles
- Fridges and Freezers
- Tyres
If you have any prohibited items that we cannot accept, you can contact your local council who will advise you on the correct way to dispose of the waste.
No fires to be lit in the skip.
What is a level load?
Our skips must not be overloaded. You can fill the skip to the top of the skip, anything over will be charged an overload fee. If in doubt, you may need to order a bigger skip.
What if I need a skip permit?
If your skip is going on a public road or verge, then you will require a skip permit from the Council. Skips 4 U will arrange this for you. A skip permit is £45.00 from Southend Borough Council and takes 10 working days. Essex County Council is £20.00 for 7 working days and £30.00 for 14 days, and takes 7 days to arrange.
A skip permit can take 5 working days to arrange.
How long can I have the skip for?
The hire of our skips is for up to two weeks. If you require longer than one week please contact the office.
Do you offer a Wait and Load Service?
Yes we do. We will deliver the skip and wait for you to load it. Please contact the office for further details of this service.
How can I pay for the skip hire?
We accept all credit/debit cards through our secure server. You can also pay by cash on delivery or over the telephone.
What do you currently recycle?
